3            ii.   Anna J. Wieghaus, born 08/22/1888 in Covington, Kentucky; died 08/14/1965 in Covington, Kenton Co., KY.

Notes for Anna J. Wieghaus:

The following story was told to me on 2/1/1998 by Jeff Owens, husband of Paula Wieghaus, as told by his father-in-law and his wife's uncle: "Anna J, a poor, simple woman who was led by financial conditions to live in the "summer kitchen" at 310 W. 21st St., the home of Josephine, her sister-in-law.  The house itself would be considered very modest, the add-on called the summer kitchen was the rear most room of the 4 room house and little more than an enclosed porch with a potbelly stove. Paula's uncle remembers her as sometimes moody and honery.  She commuted to Cincinnati every day by walking across the RR bridge.  She was a "second story maid" as the terminology of the day put it.  She worked in a large home of a well-to-do business man.  She was one of the few in the family who had tolerance of the "cousin's marriage" (Joseph Jr. & Maria Busse).  That's possibly how she came to inherit the property rights to the cemetery plot at Mother of God, Sec 5, Lot 301.  She willed them to Paula's father and uncle.  Anna J. had a great deal to do with the moving of graves and consolidation of the graves at Mother of God, Sec 5, Lot 301."
